The role of the Event & Venue Management team is to manage and coordinate, for a defined site, all stakeholders in the delivery of the project in order to guarantee the holding of events. 
   

We are looking for a Deputy Event Manager (M/F) to join the Eiffel Champ de Mars site team (Eiffel Stadium and Arena Champ de Mars). The Deputy Event Manager's main mission will be to support the Event General Manager, before and during the event. Given the competition calendar (site active over long periods), the Deputy Manager must have the capacity to replace the Event General Manager, in his/her functions and responsibilities, on pre-identified slots (shift).  

Main missions and responsibilities  

Finalize detailed event operational planning and ensure its implementation, while ensuring compliance with contractual commitments, and ensuring the perfect integration of Paris 2024 departments and delivery stakeholders (local, national, international) 

Lead and lead the site team, consistent with the ramp-up of activities and in compliance with JOP deadlines; 

Ensure general management of the venue and event during the Olympic and Paralympic Games, in accordance with Paris 2024 policies and procedures and in accordance with the budget;  

In conjunction with the “Sports” and “Sites & Infrastructures” departments, participate in the coordination of the development of the competition site (programming, design, construction and dismantling);  

Ensure the proper deployment of all Games services on the competition site (catering, security, cleaning and waste management, medical services, anti-doping, etc.); 

Participate in the coordination, integration and/or delivery of all activities or projects carried out outside the site but linked to it or to central Paris more generally (site surroundings, transport, ceremony, security- security, accreditation, signage, celebrations, commitment, etc.).  

Represent Paris 2024 to local stakeholders involved in the delivery of the project (City of Paris, Prefecture, local associations, etc.); 

Ensure budgetary monitoring of sites/events and carry out overall reporting of sites/events as well as regular reporting during the various internal forums and meetings linked to the delivery of the event. 

Your assets for success 

Higher education with a minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in operating sporting events of national or international scope, at a high level of responsibility and decision-making. Experience of the Olympic and/or Paralympic Games would be a plus  

Good understanding of the technical, operational, security and financial elements necessary for the delivery of a sporting event on an existing or temporary site.  

Very good knowledge of the functioning of the world of sport as a whole and of international federations.   

Strong capacity for innovation and creativity in order to deliver an event linked to the vision of Paris 2024, including in particular the issues of sustainability and heritage.  

Ability to manage complexity, multiple tasks, establish priorities and meet deadlines.  

Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact at a high hierarchical level and in public.  

Team spirit and mutual assistance, listening skills, flexibility and adaptability. Positive and dynamic.  

Ability to express oneself and argue in public.  

Ability to withstand the stress linked to a project of international scope and media exposure.  

Very good command of English (oral and written).   

Excellent general computer skills, especially the office pack 

Knowledge of local authorities is a plus.
